Our Mission
Eco-Harmony Services, Inc. mission is simple; to exceed our customers expectations in all of our endeavors, and to do this in an environmentally, non-toxic and socially conscious manner.

How We Came To Be
Eco-Harmony Services, Inc. was formed in February of 2007, offering eco-friendly Residential Cleaning services. In 2008 we expanded our services to include Window Washing, Lawn Cleanup, Landscape Design, Interior Painting, Concierge Service, Green Home Evaluations and Coaching, and Retail Sales of household items. All services and products are provided as non-toxic and eco-friendly alternatives.

We are currently researching and planning to expand our services to also include Handyman Service, Lawn Maintenance, Laundry Service, General Contracting, HVAC Duct Cleaning, Carpet Cleaning, and any other service that can help our clients have a lighter impact on the environment. Our goal is to become a one-stop shop for environmentally friendly home services.

Our experienced management team believes that a product or services is only as good as the quality and customer service behind it. With this in mind we have created a new-hire training program that all employees must complete, along with continual training programs and work evaluations for all levels. We have also set-up an evaluation program for all sub-contractors and suppliers to hold them to the high standards we set for ourselves.

To live up to our social responsibility, Eco-Harmony not only pays the highest salaries, but also offers benefits to its employees that go far beyond the industry norms. We also set-aside 5% of our pre-tax profits to be donated to non-profits that focus on the environment, as well as those that work with children, and the arts.

About our Founder and President, Edward (Ed) Johnson

Mr. Johnson formed Eco-Harmony Services in early 2007 after receiving a major wake up call from the man (or woman) upstairs in the form of a cancer diagnosis. As he sat in his hospital room deciding who would receive his few possessions, his mind often drifted back to his childhood in Indiana. The realization came to him that the most important thing he could leave behind had nothing to do with material wealth, but to leave behind a planet where it would be safe for future generations to drink from the same stream and breathe the same fresh air that he did as a child. He promised himself, and the man (or woman) upstairs, that if he survived his cancer that things would change and he would dedicate himself to making that change.

Having a degree in business, and an operations management background, he often looked at problems not so much from the heart but from the head, and often drafted plans of actions to solve these problems. As he drafted his plan of action for change, it quickly came to light that this was not going to be as easy as he thought. There was plenty of information available letting him know how he was harming the environment, but few solutions.

Hence the creation of Eco-Harmony. Ed created the company to help not only those who are looking for a quality service, but also those who want to have a positive impact on the planet. To ensure that we are living up to our mission, Ed is very involved with all aspects of the company. It is not uncommon to find him out cleaning, raking some leaves, or just chatting up clients to get ideas on further expansion.

(Oh, and if you are wondering we are happy to report that Ed has not yet found out if it is a man or woman.)
